History of TDATU

Tbilisi David Agmashenebeli Teaching University was founded on August 6, 1992 and during this period has earned status of one of the leading universities in the country. 

Period starting from 1992 is extremely important for formation of all organizations in our country and our University as well. Activities of the University are totally transparent for the society, evaluators of our performance are students, their parents, professors and partner universities from abroad.

Key achievement of Tbilisi David Agmashenebeli Teaching University is the best team of professional teachers, that are absolutely compatible with the requirements of the modern educational system. Considering the modern competing environment, main priority of the University is to ensure delivery of modern high standard education enabling students with easy integration into European educational and scientific institutions. This vision results into multiple number of our students and ultimately to the valuable reputation we have gained among the society.

Tbilisi David Agmashenebeli Teaching University is always in step with modern achievements and at the same time stays loyal to decent old traditions. The University actively cooperates with universities from different countries and International Association of Universities (IAU). Rector, professors and relevant staff of TDASU are in regular contact with colleagues from various universities.

Partner universities commit to organization of joint scientific conferences, exchange of students and professors, that ultimately will result into best knowledge transfer and sharing best practices.

Tbilisi David Agmashenebeli Teaching University frequently hosts youth events, like scientific conferences and workshops, students welcoming parties, new year parties, charity visits to orphanages and etc.

Since 1999 the University publishes a newspaper Aghmashenebeli, and since 2005 scientific periodical Aghmashenebeli.

In 2002 TDASU published a festschrift “10 Years of the University ”. The publication gives historic overview of the life of the University and provides best works of our students, teachers and reporting from meaningful events over past years.
